From creative celebrations to community service, Girl Scouts across our council have been busy making a difference and creating memories.
Check out September’s Mission Moments.
Going Green for Silver Award
Girls in Troop 10656 earned their Silver Award by teaming up with the Penn Cumberland Garden Club to design, plant, and nurture pollinator gardens at the West Shore Borough of Fire. Their hard work will benefit both the environment and community. Congratulations, Girl Scouts, on this blooming achievement!

Pottery-Painting Party Fun
Troop 10840 Girl Scouts turned their hard-earned Cookie money into a creative adventure with a painting party at Color Me Mine in Camp Hill. They selected all kinds of pottery, even Girl Scout-themed pieces, and the girls painted, laughed, sang, and shared a memorable day together. What a fun way to celebrate their Cookie success!

Bronze Blossoms in Selinsgrove
Addison and Jenevieve of Troop 64563 earned their Bronze Award for creating a “Beginners Guide to Gardening,” encouraging people to volunteer and maintain plots at the East Snyder Community Garden in Selinsgrove. Way to grow some Girl Scout spirit!

A Shining Silver Award
Juliette Girl Scouts Claire K. and Charlotte P. earned their Silver Award by renovating a family room at Clare House, transitional housing for women and children in Lancaster. They painted, collected books and toys, secured a couch, and worked with local businesses for lighting and electrical updates to create a bright, joyful space for families. A shining example of sisterhood!

Flower-powered Bridging to Brownies
In August, Troops 50100 and 52141 celebrated their Daisy-to-Brownie bridging with a colorful, flower-filled ceremony. Inspired by a veteran Girl Scout mom, the girls created mason jars representing each petal of the Girl Scout Law. Daisies joined in by adding flowers and helping with vests. The girls crossed a bridge built as a Silver Award project. Congrats, new Brownies!

Swinging into Community Spirit
Girl Scouts, local students, and Little League players from the Euro-Africa 2025 team joined together for a wiffle ball game. Held at UPMC Williamsport, the event created a sense of community, camaraderie, and a little bit of competition. Most of all, everyone had fun!
