Fall Fun in Full Swing: Girl Scouts Take Camps by Storm

Even as temperatures drop, our camps are bursting with fall fun!

Hundreds of girls and their caregivers explored Camp Small Valley on Saturday at our annual Girl Fest. At this celebration of girl power, Girl Scouts practiced archery, climbed to new heights on the rock wall, constructed creative scarecrows, interacted with community vendors, and shared in the spirit of sisterhood. The festivities ended with an epic—and messy—color dance party!

Over at Camp Furnace Hills, girls got up close and personal with the world of bugs. Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors, along with their parent or troop leader, joined 11 Outdoor Program Aides for Camp Creepy Crawlies. These Girl Scout aides and their mentors led camp games, songs, and badge activities. Girl enjoyed some hands-on fun with the “Bug Guy,” and the weekend wrapped up a Halloween costume party, complete with a trick-or-treat trail hike around camp.

Thank you to all of the people who made these events possible, and thank you, Girl Scouts, for participating! Missed out on the fall fun? Keep an eye on our event calendar for upcoming programs and join us for the next adventure!
