Dozens of Girl Scouts braved a morning snowfall to attend a cookie rally at Wellspan Park, home of the York Revolution minor league baseball team, in York on Jan. 17.
Staying warm in the enclosed 1741 Club on the second floor of the stadium, girls attended two fun, hands-on sessions. They taste-tested cookies (including the new Exploremores flavor), crafted friendship bracelets, tried on cookie costumes, sipped hot chocolate, ran a mock cookie booth, made black-footed ferret sock puppets, and played the Girl Scout version of Jeopardy!
It was the perfect opportunity for girls to build confidence, have fun with friends, and gain real-world skills along the way.
