Sisterhood keeps girls connected

Academic Edge Girl Scouts from William Prescott Elementary and West Scranton Intermediate Schools in Scranton learned about relying on each other and staying connected during a World Thinking Day activity.

Holding on to a long rope, their leader asked questions: “Who challenged themselves today? Who loves the color green? Who recently made a friend?” and handed part of the rope to whoever answered, making sure to cross the circle each time.

Once the rope was used up and everyone was added, the girls untangled themselves as a team-building challenge. Once they were untangled, they all put the rope behind their waists and then carefully leaned back. Each girl relied on her Girl Scout sisters to stay upright in the circle.
