Camp Hill entrepreneur shares a lifelong passion for Girl Scouts

What is the long-term impact of Girl Scouts? For Anne Deeter Gallaher, the answer is immeasurable. What she learned in Girl Scouts permeates all aspects of her life.

Her Girl Scout experience, which began in elementary school when she was a Brownie, helped her hone teamwork and collaboration skills and develop leadership tools that she used to create a successful business.

The founder of Camp Hill-based public relations and media firm Deeter Gallaher Group, in Cumberland County, she believes in the power of Girl Scouts to help girls achieve their full potential.

Girl Scouts runs deep in Anne’s blood. Her great aunt, Jane Deeter Rippin, was National Director of the Girl Scouts from 1919 to 1930. Membership in the organization rose from 50,000 to 250,000 under Jane’s leadership, and her initiatives included creation of the Girl Scout Cookie program.
