Juniors from Troop 70855 in Lancaster County worked with a magnet game and the classic Operation board game to use STEM, one of the four pillars of Girl Scouts, in a fun, hands-on way.
The girls explored science, technology, engineering, mathematics and problem-solving while playing games they already enjoy.
Through play, they found a correlation to STEM careers, something many of them had never thought about before. Sometimes, a routine board game transforms into an awareness that is anything but routine.
