The 24-hour fundraiser includes partnership with three Lancaster County businesses

For 24 hours today, targeted donations to Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania (GSHPA), big or small, will support Girl Scout programming while giving girls opportunities to grow in leadership skills and put community service projects into action.
“With a minimum tax-deductible gift donation of $10, you can make a difference for a Girl Scout,” said Marisa Seubert, development grants manager for GSHPA, which is participating in the ExtraGive. The event encourages donations to nonprofit organizations in central Pennsylvania during a 24-hour window today.
“As a 501(c)3, GSHPA relies heavily on the generosity of our donors to offer girls financial assistance and to cover many of the costs of their Girl Scout Leadership Experience,” Seubert said. “No other organization provides girls with as many ways to learn and lead as today’s Girl Scouts. GSHPA proudly serves more than 13,000 Girl Scouts throughout our 30-county footprint in Northeastern and Central PA. Specifically, Lancaster County is home to 2,000 Girl Scouts and 101 troops.”
GSHPA has set a fundraising goal of $24,000. “Through our dedicated volunteers, we are building girls of courage, confidence and character, to make the world a better place,” Seubert noted. “Help us build the next generation of strong, independent women leaders.”
GSHPA has teamed up with three partners to maximize the impact of the ExtraGive on Girl Scout programming. “We have partnered with several businesses in Lancaster County, all of which represent our Entrepreneurship pillar of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience,” Seubert said. “We have partnered exclusively with women-owned businesses in Lancaster County. These women entrepreneurs in Lancaster County are setting the stage for the next generation of women leaders.”
