The new Girl Scout year is just around the corner and so are some fun and memorable events you won’t want to miss! To participate, you’ll need to make sure your membership is renewed (or you register for the first time) by Sept. 30. From outdoor adventures to leadership opportunities, art in nature to hands-on STEM, here are four upcoming events that show the wealth of opportunities waiting for you this year:

Outdoor Program Aide Training

Sept. 8–21 | Camp Small Valley
This program is perfect for Girl Scouts who want to mentor younger girls in the outdoors. Girl Scouts will learn how to lead songs, games, and activities, practice outdoor safety, and gain experience by helping plan and run the Nature Makers Camp weekend. This is the first step toward becoming an Outdoor Program Aide, and a chance to grow in leadership.

Oct. 2–19 | Camp Furnace Hills

Sign up for this training and put your skills to use at Camp Creepy Crawlies, Oct. 17 to 19 at Camp Furnace Hills.

Oct. 8–26 | Camp Small Valley

Or, register for this training and get ready to lead at Camp Creepy Crawlies, Oct. 24 to 26 at Camp Small Valley.

Destination Gettysburg

Saturday, Sept. 20 | 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
History, adventure, and discovery all in one day! Choose three out of 14 attractions across Gettysburg and Adams County, including two new experiences: the Civil War Tails Diorama Museum and the Gettysburg Diorama & History Center. With exclusive Girl Scout pricing, your troop or family can customize the day to your interests. But don’t wait, because many tours and attractions will sell out quickly!

Outdoor Art Day at Camp Archbald

Saturday, Sept. 20 | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Tap into creativity while exploring the beauty of nature. Girl Scouts of every level can enjoy nature photography, found-object art, music, and more while earning an outdoor art badge. Whether girls are Daisies or Ambassadors, they’ll walk away with hands-on experiences at this historic camp and their very own badge that celebrates the connection between art and the outdoors.

Adopt-a-Badge: SA STEM at Stevens Car Care

Saturday, Nov. 1 | 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
For Seniors and Ambassadors ready to roll into real-world skills, this interactive workshop at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology offers an inside look at car care and automotive technology. From basic maintenance to collision repair, diesel technology to safe driving and insurance, this event will help girls feel confident behind the wheel as they earn their Car Care badge.

Don’t miss out! These opportunities are just a glimpse of what Girl Scouts has in store this year. Make sure your membership is renewed by Sept. 30 so you can join in on the fun, learning, and adventure.
