Essential Resources for Busy Girl Scout Leaders

Discover resources and tools for busy Girl Scout leaders in our Friday feature, designed for a successful troop year!

Parent involvement is key to a thriving Girl Scout troop. When parents pitch in, whether it’s helping at meetings, chaperoning outings, sharing a special skill, they help create a richer, more engaging experience for every girl. Even a small amount of time can make a big difference!

To make it easy, we’ve created a Parent/Caregiver Help Form that troop leaders can share with parents and caregivers to gather help and support for the troop. Download the Word document, save it, and send it to your parents and caregivers. Adults can simply check the ways they’d like to help, provide contact information, and even share unique skills or ideas they’d like to contribute.

We’ve also created a Troop Leader Welcome Letter to share with parents and caregivers as an introduction to the troop year. It includes a link to our parent help form as well.

Share these resources with your troop parents and caregivers before or at your first meeting so everyone can jump in and make this troop year the best one yet!
