Girl Scouts and volunteers from Troop 10970 of Dauphin County didn’t do the typical fireworks and sparklers for the Fourth of July this year. Instead, they took the opportunity to spend the day giving back to their community!
The troop gathered at the Historic Peter Allen House and stepped 300 years back in time. Surrounded by the incredible history of the oldest house in Dauphin County, the girls hosted a spectacular tea party for over 100 guests. The event was themed Fourth of July with historic costumes, delicious food, and a gorgeous venue!
Troop 10970 learned the importance of serving others at this amazing experience. These moments are crucial to helping girls learn who they want to be. This bond with their community will follow them well beyond Girl Scouts!
