Girls learn about 8 countries with food, games and fun at International Friendship Faire

Service Unit 713 in Lancaster held its bi-annual International Friendship Faire Saturday, Feb, 21 at Garden Spot High School. Girls from Daisies to Ambassadors gathered to represent 8 countries.

They learned fun facts that highlight what makes their country special. (Did you know
Liechtenstein is the largest producer of false teeth?) Troops designed and decorated themed carnival-style games and presented a food for the sample tray, which gave a taste from every country. There was also a parade of nations and opening and closing ceremonies!

Joining the fun, Girl Scout alumnae and leaders served as “judges” so the younger girls could show off what they’d learned. The judges presented awards that highlighted each troop’s efforts.
